Abstract
Because extensive investigations have shown that furaldehyde very closely resembles the common aromatic aldehydes in its chemical properties, a study of the reaction of furaldehyde with ammonia was undertaken with the hope of obtaining a series of compounds analogous to those obtained by the reaction of benzaldehyde with ammonia.
