Phenylisocyanate and phenylthioisocyanate react with Grignard reagents in the presence of a small amount of Cp 2 TiCl 2 at room temperature to afford reduction-coupling products, N-methyl-N, N′-diphenylurea and N-methyl-N, N′-diphenylthiourea.
