Abstract
Esterification is the fundamental and routinely used functional group transformation in organic chemistry 1 and it is extensively employed for the protection and further manipulation of the carboxylic acid functional group as well as the synthesis of natural products. Traditionally, the simple condensation between a carboxylic acid and an alcohol is the most straightforward way to esterification.
