Abstract

a-Furamide, 5-bromo-2-furamide, 5-methyl-2-furamide, 5-nitro-2-furamide, 5-t-butyl-2- furamide and P-(2-furyl)-acrylamide were added to chloral to form the corresponding l- (amido)-2, 2, 2-trichloroethanols.
