Abstract

Based on the observed biological activities of coumarins and resveratrol, we synthesized fourteen hydroxylated 3-phenylcoumarins (stilbene-coumarin hybrids) including six novel ortho-hydroxy-methoxy substituted derivatives, 1–14, by Perkin reaction.
