Abstract

An efficient route to highly soluble unsymmetrical oligo (phenylenevinylenes)(OPVs) has been developed. The OPVs are end-substituted with donor alkoxy and acceptor sulfonyl groups for charge polarization and incorporate a methacrylate unit suitable for co- polymerization.
