Abstract
oxidized products obtained above, acetic acid anhydride (4.07 g, 0.04 mol) and petroleum ether (60-9o" c)(1 3.8 mL) were heated to reflux for about 3 hrs and cooled to 20- and ammonium acetate (6.9 g, 0.09 mol) was added. The mixture was distilled under atmospheric pressure until approximately 8 mL of petroleum ether (60-90 C) had distilled.
