Abstract
Thiophene and 1-benzothiophene compounds have been detected in coal tar, bituminous coal, shale oil and some Middle Eastern oil. Various derivatives have been found in plants, coffee and solid particulate matter in city air presumably coming from coal-fired furnaces. 2. and 3.
