Abstract
Method. Triethylamine (0.04 mol) was added to a solution of (phenylsulfiny1) alkenes (0.01 mol) and a-chlorobenzaldehyde phenylhydrazone (0.01 mol) in benzene (100 mL), and the mixture was refluxed for 20 h (see Table I). The solvent was evaporated off, and the residue was chromatographed on silica gel. Elution with benzene gave the products listed in Table I.
