Abstract

The preparation of the acetal 1 has been described previously.'General experimental conditions and instruments used in analyses were identical to those described in earlier work.'All'H NMR data are at 300 MHz in CDCl, solvent, unless otherwise indicated. Combustion analysis was performed by MicAnal, Tucson, AZ.
