Abstract
The first successful preparation of ω, ω'-dibromides from the electrolyses of a series of ω- bromocarboxylic acids, Br (CH2) n COOH (n= 5 to n= 11), is reported. Under conditions of fairly low temperature and current density, yields from 54 to 71% of these dibromides were obtained.
