Abstract
Abstract An expeditious synthesis of novel N-pyridyl-1, 4-dihydro-4-oxo-3-quinoline carboxylic acids (9a-e) in 5 steps and N-pyridyl-4-oxo-1, 4-dihydroquinoline-3- carboxamides (1a-m) were developed in six steps from a commercially available 2-bromo benzoic acid.
