Abstract

Transition metal-catalysed carbonylations of organic halides have been extensively studied. Among the transition metal catalysts, palladium complexes show high catalytic activity under rather mild reaction conditions.2J In the palladium- catalysed reactions, however, organic halides having P-hydrogens attached to sp3-carbons could not be effectively carbonylated, since intermediate a-alkyl palladium species generated by oxidative addition of the halides to the metal ...
