Abstract

We designed and synthesized a series of the polyamine derivatives as potent Ca2+- permeable AMPA receptor antagonists. In the course of this study, we found that the polyamine derivatives exhibited strong hypotensive activity which was undesirable activity for neuroprotective agents.
