Abstract

1, 3-Disubstituted tetrakis (fluoroalkyl) distannoxanes (XRf2SnOSnRf2Y) 2 (Rf= C6F13C2H4, C4F9C2H4; X, Y= Cl, Br, NCS) were synthesized from readily available dibenzyltin dibromide. The dimeric formulation of these compounds that was confirmed by 119Sn-NMR spectra gave rise to a structure in which the metalloxane core is covered by the surface fluorophilic alkyl groups.
