Abstract

Abstract: An efficient method for Baeyer-Villiger oxidation of carbonyl compounds to the corresponding esters/lactones has been developed using m-chloroperbenzoic acid in the presence of a catalytic amount of Sc (OTf) 3 or TfOH. Key words: Baeyer-Villger oxidation, m- CPBA, Sc (OTf) 3, TfOH
