Abstract
Methods. Kinetics of the reaction between anilines and dicyanamide (used in excess) were measured as follows. An aliquot of the stock solution of aniline in acetonitrile (50 pL) was added to 2.5 mL of a fully temperature equilibrated solution of acid buffer containing dicyanamide (at approximately 0.2 M) to give a final concentration of about 1 mM in the aniline.
