Abstract
The palladium-catalyzed coupling of organic electrophiles (ie, halides and triflates) with alkenes (Heck-type coupling) 1 is now recognized to be an extremely useful and convenient method for the formation of carbon-carbon bonds in the synthesis of valuable products under mild conditions.
