Abstract
5 4 a,,!?-unsaturated ester as evidenced by its infrared (1720, 1630, 1180 and 820 cm-l) and ultraviolet spectra [213 mp (E 11,600)]. Combustion'analysis suggested the formula Cl1Hl8O2, confirmed by a mass spectrometric molecular weight of 182, which again represents a monoadduct of ethyl propiolate and cyclohexane.
