Abstract

Abstract The synthesis in great quantity of o-methylthio and o-methylselenobenzoic acids, substituted in position 3, 4, 5 or 6, is investigated from the corresponding anthranilic acids. The ways giving good yields of derived benzaldehydes, benzophenones and acetophenones are described.
