Abstract
Aluminum enolates are versatile intermediates in organic synthesis and several methods for their generation have been reported. Formation of the less substituted" kinetic" aluminum enolates by means of deprotonation of unsymmetrical ketones by diisobutylaluminum phenoxide-pyridine'and diethylaluminum 2, 2, 6, 6-tetramethylpiperidide2 has been reported.
