Abstract
-butyl hydroperoxide in -butanol was added to a soln of thiourea (0.3247 g; ≈0.5 mole equiv.) in MeOH (1 ml) and the mixture stirred at room temp (≈25°) for 40 min., when the test for hydroperoxide (KI-H 2 SO 4 aq) became negative. The separated solid was filtered and recrystallized from aq.
