Abstract

S-alkyl ium amide in liquid ammonia, followed by addition of saturated ketones RR” C= O. The structure of the carbinols with R= CHs appears inter ah from their conversion into enyne alcohols HC= C-CH= CH-C (0H) RR on treatment with three equivalents of potassium amide in liquid ammonia.
