Abstract
Vol. $4, No. 4, April 1969 NOTES 1147 ether was added dropwise at room temperature to an equimolar mixture of an alkyl isocyanide and a Schiff base of benzaldehyde in 10 ml of ethyl ether. A white precipitate appeared immediately. The reaction system was kept at room temperature for 1 day. Then a water-methanol mixture was added to terminate the reaction.
