Abstract

Abstract: A convenient preparation of trifluoromethyl hydroperoxide, CF300H, is described and its physical and chemical properties are reported. Trifluoromethyl hydroperoxide behaves as a weak protic acid and readily forms trifluoromethyl peroxides with a variety of reactants.
