Abstract

Carbon-13 nuclear magnetic resonance (13C NMR) spectra of several mono-and disubstituted ZH-tetrahydrothiapyrans and dithianes have been recorded and assigned. The compounds studied provide a series which is amenable to correlation by the additivity of substituent effects in l3C NMR spectroscopy.
