Abstract

C, R= c-C6H11; d, R= CH 6 5 cyanates to afford 1, 3, 4-thiadiazolines 3 and 11 and 1, 2, 4- triazolines 9, 14, and 18 under mild conditions in excellent yields. Extension of 1, 2, 4- triazolines 14 and 18 to novel fused heterocycles such as 1H, 5H-[1, 2, 4] triazolo-[1, 2-a][1, 2, 4] triazole-l, 3 (2H)-diones 16 and 2, 3-dihydro-3-thioxo-lH, 5H-[1, 2, 4] triazolo [1, 2-a][1, 2, 4] triazol-l-ones 19 and 20 was conveniently achieved in high yields.
