Abstract

(±)-Valérénal 1 and 6β-épi-(±)-valérenal 1'have been synthesized from 3-methyl cyclohexanone. The key steps are the vinylallenic 13 preparation and the conversion of this compound into substituted hydrindenones 15 et 15'by acetoxythallation.
