Abstract

On hydrolysis of 1, I-dimethyl-l, 2-azaborolidine (II) 3-dimethylaminopropaneboronic acid (VII) is formed which on heating is transformed to trimer XI and on oxidation gives 3- dimethylaminopropanol. With ethanol or 2-propanol the base II affords diethyl or diisopropyl ester of 3-d imethylaminopropaneboronic acid (VIII, IX).
