Abstract

Carbonyl stretching frequencies in CCl, and CHCIB and hydroxyl stretching frequency shifts of phenol as a proton donor in CCl, were measured for series of substituted phenyl Nfl- dimethylcarbamates (I) and S-phenyl Nfl-dimethylthiocarbamates (11). The data were correlated with Hammett n substituent constants and with v (C= O) and Av (0H) values of NJV-dimethylbenzamides (III). The results were compared with similar correlations for ...
