Abstract
Alumina sulfuric acid as a recyclable catalyst conducts the transformation of various types of alcohol, phenols, and oximes with hexamethyldisilazane (HMDS) to the corresponding O- trimethylsilylated compounds in good to excellent yields under mild and ambient conditions with short reaction times.
