Abstract

Résumé/Abstract A stereoselective total synthesis of (′)-xyloketal D (′-2) has been achieved using a cycloaddition reaction of an ortho-quinone methide and a dihydrofuran as a key step. Preliminary model studies towards the total synthesis of xyloketal A (1) are also reported.
