Abstract

4-Etho22/-6-nitrobenzotriJEuoride (11). A solution of 22.5 g.(0.10 mole) of 4-chloro-3- nitrobenzotrifluoride (I) in absolute ethanol (60 cc. total volume) was added during 1 hr. t'o a solution of 300 cc. of absolute ethanol containing 5.6 g. of potassium hydroxide.
