Abstract
The chemistry of the-compound[Pa (CH&HRCH, fiMe,) Cl],(V. R= CH (C02Et) l) with nucleophilic (PPh,. pyridine. CO) and electrophilic(Hz_ HCI) reagents is studied. Although the nucleophiles cleave the chloride bridges. they do not readily disrupt the Pd-N bond. and both V and its adducts are very stable with respect to decomposition via olefin elimination.
