Abstract

To overcome the problems arising from the addition of stoichiometric amounts of the Brønsted and Lewis acidic or basic reagents, we report herein an efficient and novel synthesis of 2,4-disubstituted quinolines using [hmin]PF 6 as green solvent in presence of catalytic amount of zinc triflate via Meyer-Schuster rearrangement.
