Abstract

In previous work, we have shown that functionalized organocopper reagents can be produced directly from a highly reactive form of zerovalent copper made via the reduction of CUI-PR, complexes by a solution of lithium naphthalenide in THF and under argon.'While active copper produced by this method was shown to oxidatively add to alkyl, aryl, and vinyl halides at low temperatures, the presence of phosphines complicated product isolation. ...
