Abstract

D. GRAVEL, L. BORDELEAU, G. LADOUCEUR, J. RANCOURT, and D. THORAVAL. Can. J. Chem. 62, 2945 (1984). Starting from 4-methylcyclohexanone, a total synthesis of the selagine tricyclic ring system is described in which complete control of regiospecificity is achieved in the elaboration of functionality.
