Abstract
Dioxane analogues of the biologically active 3, 6-oxido derivative (111) of zoapatanol (I) having substituents at the C-2 and C-5 positions, but lacking the ethano bridge, were evaluated for luteolytic and postcoital antifertility activity in the guinea pig. Whether injected sc for 3 days (days 12-14 or 22-24 postmating) or administered ip as a single dose on day 22 postmating, none of the four analogues was active at the doses tested.
