Abstract

a-Amino acids bearing perfluoroalkyl groups were synthesized from perfluoroalkyl- substituted alkanoic acids by CY bromination and CY amination. Addition of 1- iodopeduoropropane to ethyl alkenylacetamidomalonates and subsequent reactions gave alkenyl-and alkylmalonic acids having perfluoropropyl and acetamido substituents.
