Abstract

Carbonyls and acetals are converted to lS-dithianes and-dithiolanes upon treatment with 2- stannal, &dithianes and-dithiolanes under catalysis by organotin triflates. In these competition reactions, various types of carbonyls and acetals are differentiated.
