Abstract

Since the need for regioselective protection of phenolic group in multifunctional natural compounds is a recurrent theme in their synthesis as well as in subsequent derivatization, we were tempted to apply simple synthetic means, consisting of sequential silylation/acylation reactions for differentiation of phenolic functions in 1.
