Abstract

Though the hydrostannation of alkynes and olefins containing only organic substituents was subject to extensive study some 20 years ago, l organotin-substituted alkynes and alkenes were at that time neglected. In 1976, Bulten2 reported that the hydrostannation of vinyltrimethyltin with trimethyltin hydride gave a mixture of 1, land 1, 2-distannylalkanes (eq 1).
