Abstract
Recently it has been found that trialkyl phosphites react with alkyl p-toluenesulfonate esters2 and with quaternary salts of Mannich bases3 to produce the corresponding phosphonatc esters, with bromine to yield dialkyl pho~ phobromidates~ and with alkyl sulfenyl chlorides to produce trialkyl monothiophosphate esters Although the mechanisms of these latter reactions have not been established with certainty, the formation of the observed products ...
