Abstract Vinyl-substituted germanes react stereo-and regioselectively with olefins in the presence of complexes containing Ru [BOND] H and Ru [BOND] Ge bonds with the formation of functionalized vinylgermanes that cannot be synthesized by olefin cross- metathesis procedures.
