Abstract
Aromatic amino acids modified in the 8-position influence the metabolism of serotonin and catecholamines in the central nervous system (CNS), and possess psychotropic activity [5, 9, 12, 13]. In a search for new biologically active compounds in the fluorine, containing amino acid series, we synthesized earlier-unknown 8-(polyfluoromethyl) substituted derivatives of phenylalanine and tyrosine, and studied their influence on the CNS.
