Abstract

Summary: The development of novel catalysts for enyne cyclizations combined with facile ways to generate allylpropargyl ethers provide ready access to usefully functionalized tetrahydrofurans of use for construction of polyhydrofuryl natural ligands like furofurans and podophyllotoxin and especially polyhydrobenzofurans represented by phyllanthocin.
