Abstract

It was found that α-bromo-α-hydroxyimino compounds were obtained in good yields by the reactions of sulfonium bromides, such as dimethylphenacylsulfonium bromide, acetonyldimethylsulfonium bromide and ethoxycarbonylmethyldimethylsulfonium bromide, with isopropyl nitrite.
