Abstract

This paper summarizes progress made in using Larrea divaricata Cav. cell cultures for the production of the cytotoxic lignan nordihydroguaiaretic acid (NDGA) and the phenylpropanoids p-coumaric acid, ferulic acid and sinapyl alcohol.
