Abstract

The introduction of a small perfluoroalkyl group into an organic molecule is highly desirable in connection with both biological studies2 and physical organic studies. In the former area, the highly lipophilizing nature of the perfluorinated alkyl group may favorably alter in vivo transport and absorption rates of a drug, while its inherent stability may improve the analogue's stability and in vivo half-life.
