Abstract
Only in recent years has p-dimethylaminoethylamine been mentioned in the chemical literature., 4munclsen and Krantz'prepared the diamine from p-dimethylaminoethyl bromide hydrobromide and alcoholic ammonia. The yield was very small, and no physical constants for the diamine were: recorded. Later the diamine was obtained by the reduction of dimethylaminoacetonitrile (dimethylglycinonitrile) with sodium and absolute alcohol. 2 ...
